ÇANKIRI Karatekin University (ÇAKÜ) has been selected as a "Regional Development Oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialization University" by YOK in the field of "Sectoral Salt and Salt Based Strategic Products". Our Rector Prof. Dr. Harun Çiftçi, who organized a press conference on the subject at the Senate Hall of Uluyazı Rectorate Building, said that they will be able to contribute more to both Çankırı and the country with the project. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Harun Çiftçi said, "Çankırı Karatekin University has aimed to serve the society since its establishment and in this direction, it has emphasized both human orientation and human development in its strategic plan. It has also carried out studies on regional resources in order to make the best use of the country`s potentials. The fact that Çankırı has the world`s largest salt reserves in Çankırı has created a focus for Çankırı Karatekin University, and for this reason, we had declared the contributions of our university to this field by determining a strategy, taking into account the group studies, workshops, sector demands and bottlenecks in the industry. At the point we have reached today, we have presented a project for the creation of new sectoral areas, especially from art to tourism, from production to health, and from branding to marketing. This project proposal was evaluated by the Executive Board of the Council of Higher Education, the Presidential Strategy and Budget Presidency and the experts of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and was deemed worthy of support, and as of today, we have found service opportunities that will lead to human, industrial and economic development in our country."
